Popsicles & Forts

Its HOT!! I do not handle the heat well at all. I take the boys outside in the backyard every day to get some energy out. On days like today the heat was too much for us. With in 15 minutes both of their cheeks were rosy & they just wanted to sit under the canopy with me. So I decided to come inside & make the most of our day without being outside. We do this once or twice a week. I build the fort, get the otterpops & we play in there for about 45 minutes before baylee starts tearing it apart. I know my boys love forts & otterpops so its becoming one of my favorite memories with them.
                                                                                                                                                      

                

Back Seat Driver

I have one! Every where we go I have my little back seat driver criticizing my every turn in the car. He tells me "Mom! Mom! You are going to fast, you need to slow down". Well I am probably the slowest driver out there but if you asked Baylee he would tell you I drive too fast.
But its not just me "Daddy slow down, You are going to fast!".... I agree with him on that one!

Today while driving home from my moms he tells me "Mom, you are going the wrong way! You need to turn left! Mom you need to turn around & go left!"  It just made me laugh. Not sure how he knows right from left but he was very serious that I needed to turn around...
I know whatever I do in the car he is back there watching my every move, so I guess I better behave & not break any law or I will have my personal police back there to tell me to slow down!

These Boys

Can it really be August already?? I dont want to believe it because that means next month my babies will be one & three years old!! Time really flies when you are having fun but it flies faster when you are blessed beyond words. Thats how I feel about my life. Not only do I have an amazing husband but 2 amazing sons.

Cullen is an overachiever like his dad & brother. Walking by 9 months & following Baylee around almost every moment of the day. He is such a happy baby. Loves to play outside, loves to play with his brother, his daddy & his mommy:)  He loves his bff gavin except when he's getting tackled. He loves food & lately all about the pacifier. Since his birthday is approaching I am getting emotional. I really want my baby to stay a baby!  He is such a light in our life.

We will be dedicating him this weekend.  God really knows what we need in our lives. Cullen came at the perfect time & is an amazing addition to this family.  I am so happy that Baylee has a brother.






I always thought I knew what I wanted. When I was pregnant with Baylee I KNEW he was a girl. I referred to my belly as a girl all the time. What a shock to find out I had a little Baylee in there.  I know that Baylee has made me a stronger person.  He is a wild child. Loves spiderman & all super heros.  He has been telling me everyday that he wants a "Captian America Birthday Party & daddy to dress up like captain america, I will be spiderman & mommy will be Firestar. .... Oh yeah & Cullen will be Iceman!"

Since Cullen has started walking the fighting has begun. They fight over toys & the chair & food & who plays with daddy & who cuddles with mommy.  Somedays I find myself saying.... "Baylee get down, Baylee no jumping, Baylee no tackling your brother, Say your sorry, Baylee no kicking your brother, Baylee dont push him off the chair, Baylee can you share your cereal, Baylee leave Cullen alone!, Baylee Cullen is just a baby, Baylee dont do this, Baylee dont do that!!"Yet Cullen still wants to play by Baylee side, so I know he loves & adores him. 

Baylee knows what he likes, will never let anyone push him around. He may be little but he is my tuff  guy that loves life!!  He tells me every day & I hope it never ends,
"Mom your are my best friends."
So I tell him, "Baylee Your my best friend too!"
"Thanks MOM!"
He just melts my heart everyday!

Oh How I Love My Hubby!!

So people have been asking how my suprise date was yesterday with Tommy. So I have to blog this because this was such a suprise & one of the most romantic if not THE most romantic things he has ever done for me.

Yesterday started off like any other day. Waking up taking care of the kids as Tommy is getting ready to go to work. My mom offered to watch the boys so my sister & I could do a Ross trip kiddie free. Of course I jumped at the chance to go shopping with out them. So they played at my moms for a couple hours then we got home just in time for naps. Cullen slept 3 hours & baylee slept 2. It was such a nice relaxing day.

Well 5 o'clock hits & I hadnt heard from Tommy all day. So we decided to call him to ask when he would be home.... no answer. But less then 5 minutes later he walks in the door with a card & a rose. He said I have a suprise for you. Go get in my truck & follow the directions. Of course I already had the biggest smile on my face. I was so excited. The directions take me to a place called Sole so Happy.  I walked in & got a wonderful relaxing 30 minute back massage. Of couse I was still smiling the entire time.

Step 2 was in the car for directions to the next step.  I open it & it says to go back home. So I am thinking how great he probably just cooked dinner. Well when I get there the car is gone. There is another note that says to follow the red rose petals which lead to a bath filled with rose petals & a bottle of wine. The next card said to enjoy the bath for 30 minutes then follow the white rose petals.  So I got my Twilight book & drank the wine & just RELAXED!! No kids crying in the next room or tv or music or anything. Just a nice relaxing bath.

So then I follow the white rose petals that lead to the closet where had a picked out an "outfit" for me & told me to text him when I was done with the bath.........

So after that:)  He had picked up dinner & we enjoyed talking over dinner for about an hour & just having some good quality time. 

I am so blessed to have a husband that was thinking of me & did all this planning, found a baby sitter & let me relax. There was no special occasion, no birthday or anniversary, it was all just because!!  I felt so loved by him yesterday. I love him so much. I have been head over heels for him since the 1st day I met him.

Step 5: don't you know that the time has arrived!!

So the day after after I post a blOg about cullen's 1st steps he takes the game to the next level. He was feeling especially brave last night & took 10 stePs! He was so proud & laughing. He was walking all over. I'm so proud of my little guy. He looks so little to be walking but it's the cutest thing. Today he is walking alot to but it more like 5 steps at a time before he falls on his butt.
Of course we were so excited about it we were cheering & clapping. So after 9 months of Baylee being the over protective brother his jealousy is showing. He kept trying to show off his skills. By jumping & being extra hyper. There is never a dull moment with him. I really look forward to them running around together! Love these boys!!

Step one!! We can have lots of fun!!

Well I meant to blog this last week but Cullen can officially take 1 step. I can't believe my 9 month old can take a step. I thought 9 months was average for babies to start crawling not 1st steps. I guess I live in a house full of over achieving boys:)

Blessed To Be Their Mommy

These boys amaze me. I am so blessed to be there mom & stay home with them.

I love spending all hours of the day & some times the night taking care of them.

We have lived in our house for about 2 months now. I gave them time to adjust & then I was gonna attempt to potty train Baylee again. Before we moved it was a battle trying to teach him to go in the toilet. He would stay completely dry one day & then the next 2 would be full of accidents. So I decided to take a break. Well 2 weeks ago I told him "Baylee you are a big boy now. You cannot go pee in your underwear any more & no more diaper for you." He told me ok mom & that was it............POTTY TRAINED!!!!
It is so nice not to have to be on his case or changing 2 peoples diapers!

Cullen is growing up too fast. He is now 9 months & weighing in at 16.5lbs.  Catching up to my skinny Baylee who is still at 23lbs & almost 3!!  So Cullen is so full of life. He loves to give kisses. He plays so well with his brother & loves toys. My favorite things that he does is he shakes his head no. He has been doing this for over a month but I cannot get over how cute it is. He also love STANDING! He is so close to walking. I cant imagine what is in store for me when these boys are literally running around together but I will cherish every moment of it. Cullen will crawl to the middle of the floor, stand up, wave hi & then shake his head no. I feel like is very accomplished for a 9 month old. But of course I am his mother & think everything he does is adorable & amazing.

Today Mary had her baby. We went to the hospital to visit little Violet & I am now in Love with another baby. She is so adorable & so tiny. You really do forget how little they are when they are born. It made me want another baby but no quite yet!!
